Principal's Message
Hello Grandview Families.
I hope this letter finds you and your Grizzly well. My name is Kevin Maldonado and I am very excited to be the new principal here at Grandview College Preparatory Academy! This will be my 22nd year in education and my 21st year here in HLPUSD. My first 10 years in HLPUSD were spent teaching at Sparks Middle School, I then served as the TOSA at Valley Alternative Schools for 1 year, moved to Orange Grove Middle School as assistant principal for 7 years and served the last 3 years as principal at Palm Elementary. I have been married to the same beautiful bride I married 18 years ago and we have two wonderful children.
Each new school year brings an opportunity to have an even better year than the one before…the staff and I have been planning for such a year! I look forward to getting to meet and know the students and families of Grandview College Prep. I look forward to working with the students and families this coming year as we continue to grow the great things already started here.
My focus to start the year is getting to know the students, staff and community of Grandview College Prep. I look forward to getting to meet and know each of you. I invite you to attend as many parent meetings and family events as you possibly can again this year in order to stay connected with us, stay current in information, and learn more about what we do here at Grandview College Preparatory Academy.
Again I am excited to be part of this great Grizzly team. Working together, school and families, is essential to each students success. I look forward to working and partnering with families to help our students be successful!
